Gicquel and Delphine Delrue become France’s first-ever World Champions

Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue made history by becoming France’s first badminton World Champions in mixed doubles. The world No. 5 pair defeated top-ranked Feng Yan Zhe and Huang Dong Ping 22-20, 19-21, 21-15 in the final. Their tactical performance capped a strong season, while Alex Lanier can add another historic title for France in men’s singles.
